Because Life is too short to live in one frame only.

Like any new writer, I have wrestled with the reasons to bring this book out, when there is so much content around. What’s the value that another book will add to the world?

When deliberating about it, I feel that art and literature make a person whole — make him/her from a living, breathing organism to an emotive, feeling person, the one who is in touch with his/her soul. The subtlety of appreciating the nuances of written words, or abstract art is inherent in each one of us but it gets repressed in making a living as engineers, doctors, professors or entrepreneurs. Most of us who are in a different profession other than arts, tend to lose touch over a period of time with our inner soul that still hankers after poetry, music, art or literature. Remember that time, back in school or college when you would break into an impromptu song during a road trip with friends or how you would jot down a few lines in your diary secretly, keeping it to yourself. Those were acts of passion and I am sure, those are priceless to you even to these days. Do you still long for those moments? If yes, there is a little piece of art, music or poetry, deep inside of you waiting to spill over to a cup in the form of a painting, a song or a book. What’s holding you back from bringing it out to the world ? I cannot answer that for you, but perhaps, I have made you think. At this point, I am reminded of Keating’s character in Dead Poet’s Society who exhorts us , “..that powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse, what will your verse be?”

On thinking about the value that the book brings, the message is simple. Let your inner curiosity lead you to explore, venture out into the unknown territories and ‘feel’ the grandeur of life. Life is too short to live in one frame only. You can be an engineer, an artist or a writer in this one life itself.
