I love attending book festivals for the sheer love of books and written words. Words are a conduit to new ideas, ingenuity and imagination that has the potential to add luster to our lives and spark creativity. It also helps that book fests provide an opportunity to meet people who share the common love for books, arts and culture. I have always felt energized with these conversations and interactions.

I am deeply appreciative that I have been invited to participate in a couple of panel discussions this weekend at Mesa Book Fest in Phoenix. The first panel is about great business books and how that help build better business. I have devoured business books right from MBA days and it will be a fun discussion and interaction with the audience in attendance. The second panel that I am on, deals with the topic of book ban and how it affects our society and culture. I feel that books and literature are essential to developing empathy, aiding in emotional growth and critical reasoning, so I look forward to talking on this topic with vigor.

Sharing my love for words, books and culture with a larger community, in-person, is going to be an enriching experience for me personally, I am sure. It will be equally enriching for the other speakers and the audience, aka other writers and readers too.
